Calls for papers have been issued for two events scheduled for Montpellier SupAgro in southern France in October 2020. First up is the international conference organised once every three years by the pests and beneficials committee of Végéphyl, France’s plant health association.
Next year’s event is being held on October 27 and will address ‘Of Pests and Men’, looking at crop protection from the past, present and future in order to guarantee agricultural production and food. Previous editions have examined topics such as biodiversity and climate change, invasive and developing pests and insects, and chemical ecology.
The event will benefit from simultaneous French-English and English-French translation for all plenary sessions. The deadline for proposals for submissions is December 31, 2019.
The event will be followed by the two-day 12th CIRAA conference (international conference on pests and beneficials in agriculture) which runs on October 28 and 29, 2020, at the same venue.
Although no simultaneous translation is being offered at the second event, submissions for papers in both English and French are being accepted. It will be addressing themes such as new knowledge on pests, biocontrol, innovative control methods, varietal resistance, and beneficials and functional biodiversity.
