Registration open for SusCrop seminar

March 16, 2022

SusCrop, the ERA-Net Cofund Action seeking to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA) in the field of sustainable crop production, is to hold a seminar at Aarhus University from May 10 to 12. Registration for the event, the ‘European seminar on research and innovation in sustainable crop production and workshop on enhancement and optimisation of innovation’, is now open.

The organisers explain that SusCrop selected 13 transnational research projects for funding within the area of sustainable and resilient crop production in 2019. These projects included, for example, the agroecological management of perennial weeds, breeding methods for barley and potato and salinity resilience in tomato crops.

The main purpose of the seminar, say the organisers, is to facilitate dialogue between researchers, research users, stakeholders and other partners. This will include:

  • Presentations and discussions of project findings
  • Feedback from stakeholders to SusCrop research projects
  • Possibilities for enhancement and optimisation of innovation based on the conducted research
