The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic researcher to conduct modelling research on specific questions related to plant pathology in grain crops, while France's Agrosyst project is looking for an agronomist to assess the needs of users of a computer information system on cropping systems.
UWA is seeking a Research Associate or Research Assistant Professor to work on an initial three-year contract “conducting research on specific questions related to plant pathology in grain crops as part of a GRDC funded research project. The specific questions to be considered are 1) the evolution, spread and management of virulent genotypes of plant pathogens able to overcome the resistance of selected crop varieties, and/or 2) the spread of plant pathogens within a crop canopy over a growing season, accounting for influences of climate and management, and effects on yield.”
The French position, based in Dijon, offers a 12-month contract and involves analysing the needs of users of information systems for innovative cropping systems. The selected candidate will be integrated into INRA's Agroecology unit, in a team working on the design and evaluation of cropping systems, and which is involved in the deployment, management and promotion of the DEPHY network.
