A major European conference on crop diversification is scheduled for September 18 to 21, 2019. Organised by DiverIMPACTS (Diversification through Rotation, Intercropping, Multiple Cropping, Promoted with Actors and value-Chains towards Sustainability) and other projects targeting crop diversification, it will be held in Budapest, Hungary.
The organisers note: “The conference will explore how we can achieve the full potential of cropping system diversification for improved productivity, delivery of ecosystem services and resource-efficient and sustainable value chains.”
A call for papers is expected shortly for the event, which will combine an exciting scientific programme with specialised thematic sessions, panel discussions and field trips to diversification project sites.
This summer, DiverIMPACTS held its first annual meeting where project progress, outcomes and results to date were presented and actions and plans for the next year were discussed and developed. During the event, project coordinator Antoine Messéan took time out to present an overview of the project to the video team from project partner LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming).
