Students from as far afield as China, Argentina and Uganda are among the candidates selected for ENDURE’s third PhD Summer School, which will be tackling ‘New and emerging agricultural pests, diseases and weeds’ in Volterra, Italy, this October.
The school, organised by one of ENDURE’s two Italian partners, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa, will host 15 students from around the world at SIAF, an International School of Advanced Education recently established by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa and the Foundation of the Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra.
Successful students need to check the Summer School’s dedicated website and follow the instructions given there so organisers can arrange their travel plans.
The school programme will include lectures given by internationally renowned experts belonging to ENDURE partners or to other higher education and research institutions, and team work to facilitate active participation of the selected PhD students and their interaction with the lecturers.
