One of ENDURE’s two Italian partners, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa (SSSUP), is about to launch the seventh year of its International Doctoral Programme in Agrobiodiversity, which includes six scholarships to motivated students from any country, including a minimum of four scholarships granted to students from developing countries.
SSSUP’s Agrobiodiversity PhD Programme is run in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences of Italy and is funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MiUR). It is designed to enhance human resource capacities to study and conserve plant genetic resources and to utilise and manage biodiversity in agricultural systems so as to improve their sustainability for the well-being of present and future generations.
The Programme has two curricula:
Applicants must include a description of a research project that they would like to carry out during the three-year period of the Doctorate. English will be the only language for all activities envisaged in the Programme and the deadline for online applications is July 15 2010 .
