  Whether your preferred language is French, German, Swedish or English, there are a variety of new ways to find out more about EuroWheat.org, the internet-based platform which collates and displays information on wheat disease management from various European countries.

• Kids explore agricultural science in practice
  

  Schoolchildren will become annual visitors to JKI’s Dahnsdorf field experimental station near Berlin, Germany, after the success of an unusual field day this summer which gave researchers the opportunity to explain and demonstrate plant protection in integrated and organic farming systems. JKI’s Bernd Hommel reports.

  With the recent addition of more than 20 reports covering subjects as diverse as tools such as EuroWheat and WeedML, case studies encompassing field vegetables, grapevine, winter cererals and maize, and approaches ranging from landscape impacts on weeds to screening protocols for microbial biocontrol agents, ENDURE's library of publicly available deliverables now numbers 98 different documents.

  ENDURE will this year host its second major international conference when it stages ‘Integrated Pest Management in Europe - The ENDURE Network of Excellence shares the fruits of four years’ research with the crop protection community’ at the Eurosites George V centre in Paris, France.   ENDURE’s grapevine case study team has recently published a series of five leaflets in the From Science to Field series tackling subjects as varied as reducing herbicide use, Decision Support Systems, mating disruption, the use of microbial biocontrol agents and new disease-resistant grape varieties.

  With European Member States facing significant challenges in introducing National Action Plans designed to deliver agricultural systems which make much greater use of Integrated Pest Management, the role of ENDURE’s Network of Experts is likely to become increasingly important.
