Végéphyl, France’s association for plant health formerly known as AFPP, has issued a call for communications for 2019’s COLUMA conference, an event held once every three years focusing on weed management.
The 2019 event will run from December 3 to 5 at the conference centre in Orléans, France, and tackle different aspects of weed management: biology and damage potential, herbicide resistance, integrated weed control, herbicide behaviour in the environment, precision agriculture and robotics, and cropping systems. For each of these themes, there will be a particular focus on new technologies. All types of cropping systems will be taken into consideration, in addition to non-agricultural issues. The closing date for submissions is March 1, 2019.
The conference will also include a photograph competition (closing date September 6, 2019) and a competition for PhD and Masters students. Students are invited to present their work in the form of posters and three-minute presentations. In addition to free entry to the conference for competition entrants, prizes of up to €500 are available.
