Information particularly relevant for: Journalists

Below you can find a selection of pages particularly relevant for journalists seeking more information about ENDURE and Integrated Pest Management (IPM):

About ENDURE
ENDURE brings together more than 300 researchers in the fields of agronomy, biology, ecology, economics and the social sciences from 18 organisations in 10 European countries. Find out more.

About crop protection
Advances in crop protection have greatly contributed to high yields and consistency in agricultural production, but new concerns about human health and the environment and increased consumer awareness about pesticide use call for the development of low input farming systems that are less reliant on pesticides. Find out more.

ENDURE's definition of IPM
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) creates synergies by integrating complementary methods drawing from an array of approaches including biocontrol agents, plant genetics, cultural and mechanical methods, biotechnologies, and information technologies, together with some pesticides that are still needed to address the most problematic pests and face critical situations. Read full article.
ENDURE publications
As the ENDURE Network of Excellence develops, a range of publications is being produced. In these pages you can find leaflets aimed at agricultural advisers and extension services, general publications about the ENDURE project, Newsletters and leaflets devoted to societal assessments. Glossary
Inevitably when dealing with a complex subject, crop protection includes terms that may be unfamiliar and abbreviations that can be confusing. At ENDURE we try and explain these terms as we go along. Inevitably, though, sometimes you may find yourself puzzled by a word or acronym. That's where our A-Z guide can help. Go to glossary.
