USDA, USA Stephen Duke is Research Leader of the Natural Products Utilization Research Unit, focusing on natural product-based pest management.He is the author of about 300 refereed publications covering a broad array of pest control topics.Most of his research has been on various aspects of weed management. He was President of the Weed Science Society of America and the International Weed Science Society and is now Vice President of the International Allelopathy Society Awards include the International Research Award of the American Chemical Society Agrochemicals Section and Fellow of the American Society of the Advancement of Science.

Professor Paul S. Teng

National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore Professor Paul S. Teng, epidemiologist, has been a professor of Plant pathology at the University of Minnesota, and and at the University of Hawaii; Coordinator, Cross-Ecosystem Programme at the International Rice Research Institute; Director for Research, FishCenter. He currently is Head, Natural Sciences and Science Education, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Professor Teng is a life-member of the Malaysian Society of Plant Pathology, a fellow of the American Phytopathological Society, and a member of the Third World Academy of Science.

Professor Jeff Waage
Director of the Centre for Environmental Policy at ImperialCollege

Imperial College, London, UK Jeff Waage is Director of the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College. During his career, he has been the head of the International Institute of Biological Control, part of the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau, and also Chief Executive of CABI Bioscience. Jeff Waage participated in recent EPPO and OECD panels to develop biocontrol guidelines, and an EU project on Environmental Risks of Biocontrol Agents (ERBIC), which looked specifically at biocontrol safety and also involved IBMA.

He is currently a member of the Crop Science Society of America, Australasian Plant Pathology Society and Australian Association of Nematologists.

Bélanger's research programmes concentrate mainly on non-chemical alternatives to prevent plant diseases through biological control agents and induced resistance, leading to the registration of biopesticide (Sporodex) in North America. Author and co-author of numerous scientific papers on biological control, induced resistance and histopathology. Senior Councilor-at-large for the American Phytopathological Society (2001-2004).
