If you have not checked ENDURE’s International Conference 2008 pages recently, you could be in for a pleasant surprise as the full papers of some 52 presentations can now be consulted online.
In addition, you can also read the abstracts of all 60 of the presentations given at the conference, plus the abstracts of 55 poster presentations and the recently added Plenary session highlights. The latter offers a selection of the highlights from the plenary sessions at the conference, Diversifying Crop Protection, which was held in southern France in October 2008, and reflects the fact that the chance to question and debate with speakers offers valuable insights into expert opinion.
The plenary sessions included one devoted to Issues and Challenges and another addressing Stakeholder Perspectives. The closing session of the conference was addressed by Niels Röling, Emeritus Professor at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, who offered a social scientist’s point of view, examining the social learning process which might ensure that Integrated Pest Management becomes a reality in European agriculture.
