To all those interested in the practice of co-innovation in the context of Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Are you working on crop protection in practice, with farmers, advisers, and other stakeholders? Are you looking for inspiration on how to deal with the challenges of a more participatory approach? If yes, you may be interested in participating in the European workshop on co-innovation being held on November 27 and 28 in Brussels, writes Frank Wijnands, on behalf of the organising committee.
We, a group of ENDURE partners from INRA (France), WUR (Netherlands), ACTA (France) and VFL (Denmark) in collaboration with MTT (Finland) are organising, with financial support from ENDURE, a European seminar and a workshop on co-innovation. Our objective is to promote and develop the theory and practice of co-innovation via the creation of a community of practice and a resource centre on co-innovation.
The November workshop brings together practitioners to share, learn and discuss co-innovation approaches. We have selected 16 case studies to be presented and will have participants from 13 countries (now 30+ participants). The workshop offers participants inspiration on a wider portfolio of methods, instruments and approaches that can be used in co-innovation to advance the implementation of IPM in agriculture and horticulture in the European Union (you can find the programme below).
A seminar is being held in October directed at the science side of co-innovation with contributions on innovation, learning, transition and the changing roles of the professionals who work in practice on innovation. For your information (sorry the seminar is now full), below is the seminar programme.
We would appreciate your participation since it would strengthen our network and knowledge base for future cooperation. Space is limited, since we intend to restrict the number of people to 40 to facilitate rich interactions.
We hope to hear from you soon, so let us know by sending an email to Frank Wijnands if you are interested and able to join. Unfortunately our budget does not allow us to reimburse travel and hotel costs (dinner is sponsored).
