Systems Summer School: Grab the last few places!

Mai 24, 2019

The last few places are available for next month's International Summer School, which is being organised by ENDURE and its partners. Running from June 23 to 28, in Volterra, Italy, it will address ‘Methodological Approaches to System Experiments’ and is designed for researchers, engineers and PhD students involved in the design, monitoring and exploitation of systems experiments. Feel free to share the flyer (download below)..

The international team behind the Summer School includes representatives from France’s National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), ACTA, the country’s innovative cropping systems network (RMT SdCI) and the EcoPhyto and PICleg programmes. Also involved is The James Hutton Institute from the UK and local organiser Sant’Anna Scuola Universitaria Superiore Pisa.

The Summer School has the following objectives:

  • Strengthening the scientific nature of system experiments through a solid methodological corpus
  • Learning how to build an experimental design taking into account the objectives, hypotheses and how the data will be analysed
  • Sharing solutions to overcome problems usually encountered in system experiments (e.g. lack of replicates, changes in decision rules over time, analysis of experimental networks etc.)
  • Building an international culture on system experiments

For more information:

  • Visit the Summer School website
