The ENDURE Information Centre, the central point of reference for extending expert knowledge, recommendations and advice for extension services, advisers and researchers concerning all aspects of Integrated Pest Management, is now accessible to all those in the crop protection community.

It has been a busy start to the year for ENDURE members involved in creating the ENDURE Information Centre (ENDURE IC) and the ENDURE Network of Advisers (ENA), with presentations on the Network of Excellence made at events in both the UK and Denmark.
Bill Clark, from Rothamsted Research in the UK, and Silke Dachbrodt-Saaydeh, from the Julius Kühn Institute in Germany, presented ENDURE IC and and the ENA to the Association of Independent Crop Consultants at a meeting in the UK.
AICC was created in 1981 and says it is Europe’s largest group of independent crop consultants, with its 230 members advising on more than 1.2 million hectares (three million acres) of arable land in the UK. Delegates to January’s meeting were given the chance to examine in detail ENDURE IC and encouraged to join the ENA, with a new leaflet describing these important tools for advisers distributed to attendees (download the leaflet below).
Work on raising awareness of ENDURE and the tools available to advisers is also ongoing in Denmark, where ENDURE members from the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS) are this week involved in the country’s annual plant protection roadshow, during which they will stage seminars for advisers across the country and take the opportunity to introduce ENDURE and the tools available.
In January ENDURE members from DAAS joined forces with ENDURE representatives from Denmark’s Aarhus University to represent the Network at the Danish Plant Production Conference in the Danish town of Herning. A session, chaired by DAAS’s Jens Erik Jensen (pictured above), was devoted to introducing and discussing the outcomes of ENDURE with an emphasis on the tools developed such as EuroWheat, EuroBlight, ENDURE IC, ENA and case study leaflets.
