A two-day Ecophyto research colloquium is being held in Paris, France, on October 13 and 14, where the outcomes of recently completed research projects aimed at reducing agriculture’s reliance on pesticides will be presented and discussed. The organisers note: “This colloquium will be an opportunity to share the research findings, to assess their relevance to foster the transition towards less pesticide-dependent cropping systems and to identify future research and development priorities.
“The colloquium targets a wide range of stakeholders, including scientists, extension services, supply chain actors, teachers, students, and policy makers. The Colloquium will be held in French with simultaneous translation in English.”
Presentations and discussions are being organised around six sessions:
An additional session will discuss the added value of shared research activities at the European level, with a presentation of the C-IPM ERA-NET from its coordinator Antoine Messéan (also the coordinator of ENDURE). It will also include presentations from ENDURE’s Lise Nistrup Joergensen (pictured above right, Aarhus University, Denmark) on the EuroWheat and EuroBlight platforms and Silke Dachbrodt-Saaydeh (JKI, Germany) on the networking of IPM long-term field trials.
