A call for papers has been issued for the 7th meeting of the IOBC/WPRS working group on ‘Landscape management for functional biodiversity’, which is being held in conjunction with a British Ecological Society Agricultural Ecology Special Interest Group meeting on March 29 to 31, 2017, in Dundee, Scotland.
The organisers, who include ENDURE’s Scottish partner the James Hutton Institute, are seeking contributions from all those interested in discussing the latest advances in the research, development and application of landscape management for functional biodiversity. This includes scientists, land managers, conservation bodies and all other stakeholders.
They say authors of selected presentations are expected to contribute papers for publication in the IOBC-WPRS Bulletin, which will be available online. Contributions should be limited to four pages maximum, including tables and graphs.
Full instructions for authors, including how to submit abstracts, can be found in the pdf file below. The deadline for abstract submission is November 28, 2016, with acceptance confirmed by December 12, 2016, and the deadline for paper submissions is January 20, 2017. Full details of the event, including how to register, will be available soon.
The aim of the ‘Landscape management for functional biodiversity’ working group is to ‘promote and stimulate basic and applied research activities related to improving cropping and farming system performance, in particular pest, disease and weed management, that adopt a landscape ecological approach. For this purpose, the working group acts as a platform for [the] exchange of concepts and research results.’ Follow the link below for more information.
