ENDURE members and others working in the field of crop protection may well be interested in the following events, some of which will feature presentations by network participants (marked by the ENDURE logo):

  • LandMod 2010

    03-05 February: Montpellier, France
    LandMod 2010, the 2010 Conference on Integrative Landscape Modelling, will bring together scientists working in the main disciplines dealing with ecosystems and landscpae simulation and management, complex dynamic modelling and the assessment of vulnerability, resilience and adaptation of agro and ecosystems under human influence.

  • The Dundee Conference

    23-24 February 2010: Dundee, Scotland
    Organised by the Association for Crop Protection in Northern Britain, The Dundee Conference aims to bring together farmers, advisers, the agro-chemical industry and all those concerned with advances in chemical and non-chemical crop protection, including advisory, research and government organisations.

  • 1st Phytoma Encounter on tomato leaf miner

    23-24 March 2010: Valencia, Spain

    ENDURE researchers from Spain and France will be among the participants at the 1st PHYTOMA-Spain International Encounter on Tuta absoluta: Tomato leaf miner, a serious problem in expansion, which is being held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

  • Slugs and Snail Control in the 21st Century

    23-25 March 2010: Cardiff, Wales
    With some of the chemicals used for slug and snail control facing withdrawal, the slug and snail subgroup of the IOBC/WPRS is staging a three-day meeting at Cardiff University, Wales, with the emphasis on coming up with new, integrated, adaptable and knowledge-led approaches to controlling slug and snail pests.

  • GCARD 2010

    28-31 March 2010: Montpellier, France

    The first Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD) is being held in the French city of Montpellier.

  • 19th Biennial IPRI Workshop

    28-31 March 2010: Charleston, South Carolina, USA
    The 19th Biennial International Plant Resistance to Insects Workshop is being held in the American city of Charleston and will include sessions at the nearby United States Vegetable Laboratory.

  • IAALD Xlllth World Congress

    26-29 April 2010: Montpellier, France

    The Xlllth World Congress of the International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists is being jointly organised by Agropolis International and will be held in the latter's home city of Montpellier, France.

  • EuroBlight Workshop

    03-06 May 2010: Arras, France

    EuroBlight, the European potato late blight network, will be staging a workshop in the French city of Arras in May 2010, with the objective of presenting and discussing recent results on integrated control for both late and early blight.

  • Cultivating Crisis

    04 May 2010: Montpellier, France
    The international workshop Cultivating Crisis: Pesticides et 'Suds': des problématiques pour les sciences sociales (Pesticides and developing nations: issues for the social sciences) will feature a variety of expert presentations tackling issues such as the management of chlordecone pollution in the French West Indies, an analysis of the Mexican farmworkers' mobilisation against the use of toxic chemicals in US agriculture and the situation of seasonal farmworkers in relation to pesticides.

  • 62nd International Symposium on Crop Protection

    18 May 2010: Ghent, Belgium
    Belgium's Ghent University stages its 62nd International Symposium on Crop Protection in May with a plenary session followed by parallel sessions.
